Hey all, I recently had an issue with my (7 year old) Crossland CC1 where I first got the SH error code followed by E2 error codes whenever I turned the machine on and it was no longer functional. I've gotten the E2 intermittently over the past two years or so, but power cycling the machine always fixed it. Leading up to this issue I had noticed that I was having a tougher time producing microfoam and latte art, but assumed it was due to either scaling (I don't descale often due to very soft wat...

hey guys, so i'm having issue with my central heating. it's kind of a long story but here's the gist of it. (a note on the diagram, the radiators in red have issues, i am not sure of the pipework from the top floor to bottom so i've labelled them as ?) hallway radiator stopped working, had plumber come and have a look, he bled it and said if it still doesn't work, it needs replacing. after a while, room 2 started becoming lukewarm, and then stopped working. room 1 was starting to get a lukewarm... Not a plumber, so forgive any terminology errors here. I know how to solder and do some light repairs but the design/maths side of things is well above my paygrade. My old Weil-Mclain oil boiler rotted through about a month back. Hired a reputable local plumbing company to install a new Buderus. It's a ranch style house that originally had 2 Monoflow heating zones (with finpipe baseboards) and a tankless hot water system. We switched over to a separate hot water tank, and had the master bedroom... Edit2: This has now been solved! Thank you kind reddit strangers. You can check out the comments for how I got it working. I have two Burnham Boiler model 204HNIL-TEI2, serial number 64910139 in a 3 story duplex. One heating the first floor, and the 2nd heating the 2nd and 3rd floor. My current issue is that the 3rd floor isn't getting heated well. It's a small 3rd floor so there's only 2 radiators on that floor. One of them is only half getting hot so I think I just need to keep bleeding that ...

I have new house with 2 zones with new boilers and radiators. Bought a Nest E for the basement and the new Nest 2020 model for the 1st floor. For the Nest E, I saw this video on YouTube saying that it will degrade your boiler over time and a lot of the comments are saying the same thing if you use only 2 wires. https://youtu.be/AWMXXntHVN8 For the 2020 model, I'm still having trouble figuring out how to add a C wire. I have very little knowledge with boilers (moved from an area that was predominately forced air furnaces fed by natural gas, to an area with no natural gas and mostly oil). When bleeding my hot water boilers, air hissed out, but no water followed. When checking the boiler, the system is at 0 psi. I know I can add water to re-pressurize the system, but I can’t figure out how. There are a variety of pipes and valves, but for the life of me I can’t figure out which adds water. Checking out diagrams, my piping doesn’t seem to conform to any of the standard setups. I’ve searched online for the manual for my boiler, but have had no luck. The front of the boiler says Br... This is the single most vivid dream I've ever had. I have told this story to several people whom I've known before and I'm happy to find a reddit so others can read it. It began in a tunnel. I was an adult woman in my late thirties with blonde but fading yellow hair and I felt strangely withered as if I could feel the wrinkles on my face or weather cut lines from the wind. How I knew I was a woman or what I looked like is beyond me but I felt in my heart that is who I was because ... I have a hot water baseboard system with a Taco SR503-4 controlling three pumps and a boiler. I am changing the thermostat on one of the heat-only zones from a battery powered 2-wire thermostat to an ecobee 3 lite. I've ran a new 18/7 wire from the thermostat to the Taco unit, so that I have plenty of leads to work with. I attached the the Taco's 24v common and that did not power the ecobee. Found this [support page](https://support.ecobee.com/hc/en-us/articles/236335908-Taco-SR503-4-Three-Z... How does a heating boiler work - what are the steps in its operating sequence? Hi everyone, Have been re wiring a big house for the last 2 weeks and today I had to connect the heating up. The system is a S plan heating system (first time I’ve ever attempted one of these) and it is a Worcester oil boiler as there’s no gas in the property. It also has a Nest system installed. I’ve managed to get it working and the heating & hot water is on but I am curious about connections inside the boiler, it has L N E 1 2. The plumber has said to me the boiler only needs a switched ... Never even come across the term boiler after school so I want to make sure I'm getting my terminology right. The process in question has a steam drum (specifically called out rather than a boiler) recovering heat from a hot gas. I'm looking at a few terms... But there's cold water and hot water mix in the shower. There's good cold water pressure or volume of water from the cold, but there's weak supply from the hot. Hi, I live in a 4-story townhouse in pacific northwest. I have a hydronic in-floor water heating system connected to my combi gas water heater that's in the basement (which is used for both regular hot water and the heating system). A water pump pumps the water from the heater all the way up to the top floor, throughout the house, and then back to the heater. About a year ago the pump broke and I had a guy replace it. Ever since then the system has been constantly losing pressure (I had someon...
The background is this: I live in a condo building, and I get 24VAC and common coming up from the shared boiler room. Hot water is provided to my unit, and the in-suite control I have is to provide 24V to the powered zone valves. The setup hasn't changed since the building was constructed in the 70s. What I took off the wall is a mercury switch which simply acted as a disconnect. I got an ecobee a couple weeks ago, and after a great deal of back-and-forth with support (who seemed very confused ...
I just moved into a much larger house. At my old house, my ecobee4 controlled the forced-air furnace (which supplied a C wire); so I brought that thermostat with me, since I want wifi/homekit control. But the new house has a dual-zone (1st and 2nd floors separated) boiler for baseboard hot water radiators, and additionally a 2nd floor-only air conditioning system, for 3 thermostats in all. I'd like to consolidate the 2nd floor heating thermostat with the A/C thermostat, and use the ecobee for b...

Could anyone point me in the direction of a wiring diagram that allows me to bypass the rf thermostat receiver for my combi boiler? I think it has given up the ghost as I'm still getting hot water but no heating. The thermostat and receiver are the Salus st620rf if it helps.
[Diagram of Upstairs Radiator Arrangement](https://imgur.com/a/UBmMNDF) The red locations are the radiators. The yellow/orange is the location of the bleed valves. We have good heat from the radiators in the master bedroom and master bathroom but no heat in the other three bedrooms. I am working on an old cabin that has 4 temperature zones (heated floors) which trigger heat pumps to engage when the thermostats are triggered. The individual heat pumps work fine when commanded by the thermostat. The problem is, the boiler is only wired up to activate when only one specific zone is activated. So that zone needs to be a few degrees higher to make sure the boiler is supplying hot water when the other zones need to activate their heat pump to transfer hot water. There is a VAC r...

I've got an odd situation that happens no more than once in a day, more often in winter, and lasts for just a minute or two. When using the kitchen sink, after having hot water for a while, it'll suddenly go completely cold, and then get hot again. I've got a propane boiler doing just-in-time heating of the water, and no holding tank. I asked a maintenance tech about it, and he said to check the display on the boiler when the issue happens. If there's no error code and the display shows that th...
